SURF for Fisker Ocean: Subscription

The System for Unified Repair Functions (SURF™) is a powerful all-in-one service tool with diagnostics, flashing and programming capabilities, designed for the Fisker Ocean.  SURF™ allows technicians to read, flash, and write to all of the Ocean's electronic control units (ECUs).  

SURF™ goes beyond pulling and regurgitating static diagnostics trouble codes (DTCs) from widely available reference resources. SURF™ offers true agentic diagnostics that have been field tested by dozens of technicians over hundreds of repair cases.  SURF™ works by logging and evaluating vehicle CAN traffic to provide detailed, plain-language explanations and next steps of service. 

SOFTWARE FEATURES

SURF™ is a digital, subscription-based software suite that works on all Fisker Ocean VINs, independent of whatever other subscriptions an Ocean is serviced by. With SURF™, technicians can:

• View and analyze on-board vehicle data,
• Calibrate ADAS and powertrain systems,
• Read/write VIN and SecOC,
• Flash and code stock Fisker firmware to specific ECUs,
• CDS and VOD coding

SURF™ also includes an allocation of AI-assisted diagnostics and troubleshooting tools, built on a deep, proprietary knowledge base. The AI agent logs and shows exactly which commands were executed, and works with you to help you diagnose and repair tough cases. The result: less time clicking through menus, more time fixing vehicles. Cut your diagnosis time down to a fraction of the time with a powerful technician-tested AI agent that will narrow root causes down easy to understand and isolate subsystems.  

SUBSCRIPTION STRUCTURE

SURF™ is available as an annual commitment or a month-to-month subscription: 

Month-to-Month Subscription: No annual commitment, cancel any time. Monthly subscription auto renews on the first of each month. 

Annual Subscription: Sign up for a twelve-month commitment, billed monthly, and save 45% off the monthly subscription rate. Or pay in-full, up-front for an additional $50 off the full annual price. 

All subscriptions (monthly or annual), also include the following:

• ICC49 USB stick for ICC flashing 
• Access to training materials and support consultation
• Detailed and actionable agentic diagnostics and repair recommendations

SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

SURF™ is a cloud-based software system with following hardware requirements:

• PEAK CAN interface with driver package 5.1.1 or newer
• Stable WiFi connection
• Windows 10 64-bit, version 2004 or later (build 19041 or newer); Windows 11 recommended for best experience
• Minimum screen resolution 1024x768 
• 4GB RAM Minimum, 8GB RAM or more recommended
• 2GB free memory disk space; 50GB free memory on SSD recommended
• Intel Core i5, Ryzen 5, or better with 4 cores or more
• Stable, broadband internet connection for service access and updates

SURF™ also supports Spider Cable (CAN-FD direct). 

OPTIONAL FIRMWARE FLASHING MODULES

SURF™ enables flashing and coding of all stock Fisker ECUs. Non-stock firmware (such as PKC21.3), and proprietary deployment software (such as the software envelope used to deploy ADAS 3.1.1), are VIN-controlled and made available to select VINs only.
